It would be helpful to have a nice list of related resources in the Seattle area. For example, what if I need access to woodworking equipment, or a CNC machine for some precise cutting and routing? Work like this is related to things going on at Metrix, and it would be great to get recommendations from others on where to go.

host a sugru Hackquarium

Sugru is kind of a putty glue that's air activated. Could be awesome. Could be lame. Here's one way we could find out.

They are trying to drum up support by getting people to host "hackquariums". They give you a bunch of sugru. You provide a place and fellow hackers. Good times ensue.

Hi,
I'm probably sure you've thought about it , if not, I want to assure you that you should. I'm a vfx artist and graphic designer and a bit of a programmer I taught myself all this. in the begining it was hard cos I come from Africa and well at the time the internet was barely existent over there, i'm pretty sure it's not that huge.

Things change when I came over to london to study computer science but I left college to self study and set up my company. I was researching to start up my new printing company when I found site's like makerbot etc, and boy do I feel like a jerk.

Ok enough.
the thing is I'm learnt everything over the internet through purchasing dvds and other methods of studying like subcribtions and stuff. For those of us far away from you ,we all want so much to learn and I hope you dont leave us behind. i know it's a big task to take on but comeon you guys are hackers and geniuses so figure it out. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE :)

I've always wanted to learn electronics and build stuff and I believe this is my chance please dont kill my dream and I believe I can use some of these new technologies to change the continent. Thank you guys. justhot@hotmail.co.uk
